Technical performance:
1. Impact resistance: continuous basalt fiber tensile strength of 4100 ~ 4800MPa, modulus of elasticity of 90 ~ 110GPa, ultimate elongation of 3.1% (carbon fiber 1.7%, spunlaced 2.4%), in the limit of gravity, the basalt fiber material is the first to absorb a large amount of energy through the deformation, which is one of the properties required in the building reinforcement project. 2. Dynamic load fatigue resistance: Although the carbon fiber tensile strength is high, has a good withstand long-term performance of the surface load, but in the ultimate state of stress carbon fiber for brittle damage, dynamic load resistance, fatigue resistance is not as good as the basalt fiber, so in the structural reinforcement, especially bridge reinforcement, anti-seismic reinforcement. 3. 4. Good electrical insulation properties: Basalt fiber insulation is better than alkali glass fiber, carbon fiber is a conductor of electricity, so in the subway project, tunnel project, electrified railroad project, industrial plant, insulation requirements of high buildings, the use of basalt fiber reinforcement can eliminate shielding phenomenon.

Cost advantage:
Basalt fiber unidirectional cloth in the structural reinforcement in the use of performance partially meets or exceeds the case of carbon fiber, per square meter basalt fiber unidirectional cloth cost is the latter's 1/4-1/3, is the most reasonable low-cost alternative to carbon fiber unidirectional cloth.
